Hi there, I’m Bre!

I’m a photographer and artist! I am so excited you’re here, thanks for wanting to know more about me. Below is a brief synopsis of my qualifications & a lil’ more about me.

I’ve been a photographer since about 2016. I attended the Southeast Center for Photographic Studies for my degree in photography and graduated in 2019. I prefer to work with my film cameras because I think there is an imperfect magic that comes with using it, but I do love my digital camera as well! I’ve worked for many photographers as an assistant, a second shooter for weddings, as well as photographing my own shoots & weddings since 2018. I currently teach photography for the Melrose Center, which is a part of the Orlando Public Library.

I’ve recently begun to feel more comfortable calling myself an artist, you can see a selection of my pieces on my gallery page and my Instagram. I also run Bloom Endeavors, a business based in Downtown Deland with my partner, Elliana, and her mom, Jennifer!

Some fun facts to get to know the person behind the screen:

  • I’m originally from St. Louis, but have lived in Central Florida since I was very young - I’ve been told I sometimes have a weird accent none the less (thanks ma).

  • I am an avid reader and average anywhere from about 75 to 250 books a year. You can see (and judge) what I’m reading here.

  • Like many others, I am obsessed with iced coffee and tea, and definitely need a cup to start my day off right!

  • I love all things mystical and magical and I look for that reflected in every day things: Florida evenings when the bugs are humming, sunset at the springs, and even simpler things like the kindness we can give to one another.

I love to work on new projects and learn new skills, so the work you see here is probably going to be ever evolving. I’m so so happy you’re here, and I can’t wait to see how I can work with you!
