A Week in the Life 7-21

Friday 7/21:

This passed weekend was a fun one! I work Sunday-Thursday at my current day job, so my weekend starts on Friday! Friday morning I had a migraine and missed my drawing class, but I spent the time resting and prepping for the Friday Night Artisan Alley market that takes place in downtown Deland. The city does themed events throughout the year (very Stars Hollow if you ask me), and this Friday was Tropical Nights which is basically where everyone is miserable in the heat together while all also wearing fun and cheesy island/tropical clothes.

Here's what my booth set up looked like! It was a lot of fun! My partner, Elliana uses the other half the space for her jewelry, but she comes straight from work and hadn't had a chance to set up her side yet. There is a jewelers workshop she works out of to make her pieces in downtown in the same area as the market. So usually I'll set up and work on new pieces and keep an eye on everything while she goes to do some more pieces. This week, my good friend Trey came to hang out while I working which was a great time, he's a creative genius who helps me come up with ideas for social media.
We were able to pack up a little early and go walk around, we found some Kona Ice which was fantastic, and then were able to see some of the live music happening at one of the bars. I made a little TikTok about it if you'd like to see it, click here.

Saturday 7/22:

Saturday Ell & I got up early to head down to UCF so that I could take one of my friend's graduation pictures! Ell was a trooper and helped me make sure Alexa's stole was straight and not off center, her hair was fixed, and even ran around to move scooters out of the frame. At the end, she saw some beautiful flowers and helped collect them and then climbed up onto a wall to be able to drop them over Alexa as I took the photos. I've decided she needs to come with me to every session I have, her attention to detail and making sure things come out well is something I appreciate deeply.
Afterwards we went home and rested and watched at least 5 episodes of Love on the Spectrum, Australia (highly recommend, the wholesomeness was the palate cleanse needed for all the trash TV we've been watching otherwise). Later that evening we went to meet up with one of Ell's good friend's Erin for her birthday at The Courtesy which is in Winter Park. The drinks were absolutely delicious.
We then went to karaoke in Orlando, it was a good time and I was able to see Ell sing which was so much fun. Also, there was a drive through pho place on OBT, which is very rude that I didn't know it existed, and also very upsetting that we weren't able to stop this time. Maybe next time I go to the Goodwill Bins down there I'll make sure to stop. After that we headed back and crashed again after the busy days.

Sunday 7/23:

Yesterday included going to work, afterwards I swam a couple laps at the pool, tried to give The Blood that Binds Us a try, I was a little disappointed when I couldn't get into it though and decided to DNF it. Later I spent my time painting my nails, and cleaning up my disaster of a room after such a busy last couple of weeks. Overall I was happy with how productive the day was.

Monday 7/24

Today I am again back at work (such is life). I spent some time this morning organizing my desk and figuring out what needed to be returned home and what just needed to be reorganized. I also brought some of the new pieces of art I've work on to be able to get them scanned later this afternoon. I need to register for Fall classes and finish up the one class I have left for this Summer semester. Today should be pretty productive.
